These Terms of Service (“Terms”, “Agreement”) are a legal agreement between you (“User”, “you”) and Skybil (“we”, “us”, “our”) governing your use of the service provided at skybil.com.ng (the “Service”).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of the Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Services

Skybil provides educational / online learning services, including courses in Technology & Finance, an AI assistant to support learning, certificates for some courses, etc. The types of services may evolve over time.

3. Registration / Account

  • To access certain features, you may need to create an account.
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or breach of security.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Upload / share content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service (e.g. hacking, introducing viruses).
  • Use the Service in a way that could disable, overburden, or impair it.

5. Intellectual Property

  • All content provided on the Service (courses, text, videos, graphics, logos, etc.) is owned by or licensed to Skybil. You may not use, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without explicit permission.
  • You retain ownership of any content you upload (if any), but you grant us a license to use it for providing the Service (e.g. displaying, storing, or showcasing in testimonials etc.).

6. Certificates

If you complete certain courses, Skybil may issue certificates. These certificates are subject to verification and are not equivalent to accredited degrees unless expressly stated.

7. Payments / Fees (if applicable)

  • Currently many courses may be free; for paid offerings (if any), details of pricing, payment method, refund policy will be specified.
  • You agree to pay all fees as stated.
  • All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise specified.

8. Disclaimers & Liability

  • We strive to keep the Service secure, accurate, and reliable, but we do not guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from harmful components (viruses etc.).
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skybil is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • Our total liability under these Terms (for any claim) will be limited to the amount you have paid (if any) for the relevant service during a limited period (e.g. past 12 months), or a minimal amount as required by applicable law if you used only free services.

9. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your account or access to parts of the Service if you violate these Terms.
  • Upon termination, your rights to use the Service cease, but some provisions (e.g. Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Liability) survive.
  • If you close your account, we may retain certain data as required by law or to prevent fraud or misuse.

10. Modifications to Service / Terms

  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the Service at any time (with or without notice).
  • We also reserve the right to change these Terms. If changes are material, we will make reasonable effort to inform you (e.g. via email or notice on the site). Continued use after modifications implies acceptance of changes.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
  • Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Nigeria.
  • Before formal legal proceedings, both parties shall attempt to resolve disputes amicably (via negotiation / mediation).

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable by a court, the rest of the Terms will remain in force.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any policies incorporated by reference (Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, etc.), constitute the entire agreement between you and Skybil regarding the Service.
